Sean McKenna
Alpine Coach
Sean McKenna was born and raised in New Hampshire and grew
up ski racing at Waterville Valley, NH before attending high school at
Holderness School in Plymouth, NH. After graduating Holderness in 2000 Sean
took two post-graduate years to focus on ski racing. During his PG years he
skied with Quantum Sports Club out of Breckenridge,
CO and Green
Mountain Valley
School out of Waitsfield, VT.
Sean attended Bates
College and was captain
of Bates' NCAA Division I ski team his junior and senior years. During his time
at Bates he was a three time NCAA Alpine Skiing Nationals qualifier as well as
a NCAA Academic All-American. Sean has extensive experience racing in Austria, Germany,
Switzerland, Italy, and New
Zealand as well as numerous starts on the NorAm circuit throughout
the United States and Canada. After
graduating Bates College Sean pursued a career in finance and worked in Boston, MA
as a mutual fund accountant for one year. Skiing remained his passion and he
left the finance industry to return the sport of ski racing as a coach. Sean
coached for Mount Hood Summer Ski Camps during the summer of 2007 and is
thrilled to be a recent addition to the Crested Butte
Academy team.
