Drew Cesati
Director of Alpine Racing
Andrew Cesati was raised from an early age in the rural town of Gilford, New Hampshire. Here he romped among snow, water and grass with various sorts of skis and boots attached to his feet. He grew to love sports, the outdoors and just about anything "that'll get your heart rate somewhere around max." He brought this love to a competitive arena and grew up a successful ski racer and soccer player. Eventually Andrew brought his soccer skills to the University of New Mexico for a two-year run with the Lobos. After string of injuries Andrew meandered back to New Hampshire and wrapped up his academic and athletic careers at Colby-Sawyer College. Here, Andrew was twice an All-Conference selection and an Academic All-American.After graduation Andrew moved to Stowe, Vermont and began his ski coaching career at Mount Mansfield Winter Academy. After two years with Stowe's ski club he was offered a job with the Men's Alpine National Team. There, Andrew worked throughout the National Team system, from World Cup to Development, finishing his National team career as the Head European Cup coach.
Andrew left the National Team to become the Crested Butte Academy Alpine director when he heard what was transpiring at CBA. Andrew moved to Crested Butte this past July with his beautiful girlfriend Allison, and is excited to take the reins and in utilizing the facilities and resources in Crested Butte, Andrew hopes to create the best Alpine ski program in the country.
