Diverse Big Mountain Terrain / DC Superpipe
Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) provides training on many different trails and venues. The winter training schedule gives the CBA student the opportunity to train big mountain, skiercross, superpipe, slopestyle and backcountry arenas. The natural and diverse big mountain terrain, world-class DC parks and superpipe compliment each other to develop a well-rounded skier.

The big mountain skiers will freeski all over the mountain, but focus on CBMR's 448 acres of terrain that are double black diamond, the park and pipe team will focus on "new school" tricks that they will learn in the DC terrain parks and superpipe, that are located around the mountain. As well as skiercross specific training development, our coaching philosophy with this team is that to excel in terrain parks, the skiers must be strong all-mountain skiers.

Hard Work Pays Off
CBA's physical conditioning program is a demanding and integral part of our system. CBA's new 11,000 sq. ft. Performance Center provides the perfect venue to improve overall athleticism and reduce potential injuries. Our traditional ski-rehearsal workouts are fantastic with full access to athletic fields, a track, gymnasium, and additional resources at Western State College. Fall training also includes hiking, mountain climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, soccer, and various field games.

CBA staff will organize and implement spring, summer and fall skiing and dry-land camps. There will be camps in Summit County in May, Chile and/or New Zealand in August, Crested Butte in September/October (dry land), and Summit County in October/November.
